Peer support for clients is offered on a one-on-one basis and is integrated into both inpatient and outpatient care as part of Casey House’s client-centred approach.

Peers work alongside clinical staff to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals in areas such as adhering to their medications, social connection, improving attendance to programs and appointments, or connecting with community resources. Sharing experiences builds clients’ trust and confidence.

Our structured program builds peer capacity to support clients and provides opportunities for peers to debrief and reflect on their work with clients. Attention is also paid to their own health and wellness. Peers are paid an honorarium for their work.
